HUGH & RUBEAL HARRIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose

The Hugh & Rubeal Harris Memorial Scholarship provides scholarship to Stroud High School graduating seniors pursuing post high school educational opportunities.

Eligibility

Graduating senior of Stroud High School

Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and ACT composite score of 21 (or equivalent SAT score)

Must attend an accredited college/university, community college or career/technology center

Must demonstrate leadership, character and participation in school and community activities

Priority given to applicants with an interest in pursuing a degree in the field of education

Award

Amount - varies but at least $1,500 per year

Scholarship is renewable for three additional years at the discretion of the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma Grants Committee provided that the receipient:
          - maintains full-time enrollment (12 hours per semester)
          - maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
          - submits required reports and transcripts
          - exhibits satisfactory personal attributes of character, leadership and participation in school activities

Scholarship may fund tuition and related fees, room and board, books and required materials, and living expenses.
