- Applicant must be a graduating senior from Tulsa, Sand Springs, Jenks, Broken Arrow, or Union Public Schools.
- Student must pursue an engineering degree from any accredited 4-year college with the intent to continue and complete his or her education at a 4-year institution.
- Must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA and an overall ACT score of 24 or higher, with a minimum math sub-score of 24.
- Applicant must provide an essay as to why they are interested in pursuing a degree in engineering and how that degree might be used post-college.
- Financial need will be given strong consideration. An essay regarding financial need should be prepared by the student and submitted as part of the application.
- A student will not be eligible for the scholarship if the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), as calculated by FAFSA, is greater than $28,000.
- The scholarship is renewable with 2.8 Semester GPA, full-time enrollment and continued enrollment in courses indicating the student’s selected major is engineering.
Restrictions and Guidelines
- Must provide Communities Foundation of Oklahoma with proof of enrollment, an official transcript of grades, and progress report each semester.
- Up to $24,000 based upon a maximum of $3,000 a semester for up to eight semesters starting at the 2nd semester following freshman enrollment.
- The funds will be paid directly to the college or university.
- Scholarship payments may be applied to undergraduate and graduate degrees.
